The Australian Furniture Removals Association (AFRA) recently hosted its 2017 conference in Perth, recognizing excellence in the removalist industry. Dawson Moving & Storage was proud to attend, with our Branch and Operations Manager, Glenn Rogan, receiving the prestigious AFRA Employee of the Year award.

Going the Extra Mile for Customers
One of the many examples of Glenn’s commitment to customer satisfaction occurred in January 2017, when Dawson Moving & Storage received a container of goods from an agent. After unloading and unpacking, the crew discovered that the bolts for the client’s beds were missing. Upon contacting the forwarding agent, it was confirmed that the bolts had been lost.
The delivery was in Newcastle, and while the easiest solution would have been to arrange temporary accommodation for the client, Glenn took it upon himself to personally resolve the issue. At 4:00 PM, he got in his car, stopped at Bunnings in Pennant Hills to purchase various replacement bolts, and drove the three-hour journey to Newcastle.
Upon arrival, he successfully assembled the beds, allowing the client and his three children to sleep in their own home that night. Glenn returned home at midnight, but his efforts resulted in a satisfied and grateful customer.
